Double Your Eyelashes The Natural Way

If you are in the mood to really let your light shine bright and be seen, check out my new obsession!

Younique mascara.

After living in Palm Beach County, I started to notice that all the fashionable mamas here had these beautiful, long-but-natural looking eyelashes. Later, I found out they were fake eyelashes and the women go once a month to get them applied. I was SO tempted to give it a try and right before I was about to make an appointment (and thankfully I didn’t because I did a little research and found that the glue from the fake eyelashes can damage your real eyelashes) my friend told me about Younique and asked if I wanted to try it out. So glad I did! Check out my results!!

The bottom picture is without Younique and the top pictures are with Younique. I only did one application to get these results.

It straight up doubled the length and thickness of my eyelashes! It’s not something I would wear everyday, because it does take more time, but it’s perfect for when I have a few extra minutes to get ready and I want to take the glam up a notch. I am totally and completely hooked. AND they are pretty non-toxic, not 100% natural of course, but pretty damn close and way better than glue near your eyeball. The thickener is just tea tree flakes. My mother-in-law loved it, too. She is a cancer survivor and has been through chemo twice and has never fully regained the thickness of her eyebrows or eyelashes and she really loved the results. She was contemplating fake eyelashes like I had been but also instead chose to use Younique!

    Hi Stephanie,
I recently bought your freezer to slow cooker book and I’m slowly familiarizing myself with your recipes and picking which one I want to try first(they all look like recipes my family would enjoy). I have read and r-read the book but cannot find if your recipes are for one meal/freezer bag or if they are for multiple. We are a family of 4 and enjoy eating left overs but I would prefer to know if I should be doubling the recipes in order to have 2 meals or if I should follow the recipe amounts as written and divide it between two bags.

    Please advise,

Hi Julia. Thanks for your purchase! You divide all ingredients evenly into one or two bags. Each recipe is different and sometimes two bags is needed and sometimes one will be fine. So just have two ready and eye ball it on assembly day. You also want to take into account the size of your family and the size of your slow cooker. For example, some people who are only cooking for two and have a smaller slow cooker will even divide my recipes into 4 bags!

Hey Stephanie! Was curious how you get your lashes to not be so clumpy? When I use Younique, my lashes look so clumpy! Ugh…Thanks for your wonderful blog. I read it daily to be a better mama, wife, and healthy chica.

I make sure that the base layer, of the regular mascara, goes on not clumpy at all. And I only very lightly apply the Younique stuff. You can also use one of those lash comb thingys to make sure there are no clumps. 🙂

That’s good to know! Thanks for the tips Stephanie. I hate the look of clumpy eyelashes on me!…I was also curious about a completely unrelated thing (sorry!). Do you know of any natural parenting expos/conferences in the US, specifically in CA? I live in CA and I can only find conferences in every other state and overseas. Thanks Stephanie. I read your blog daily with my 6 month old Lulu 🙂

I do not know of any off hand. I know the Attachment Parenting International conference is coming up but not sure where.
