    I bought your e-cookbook and am a subcriber. I would love to attend this webinar, but, I have to get up at 4:00 a.m. on weekday mornings so staying up that late is just not possible (or healthy!).     Your book has been amazing for me and my fiance! I have been working and commute 2 hours each way, and just don’t have it in my to cook when I get home. This is unusual for me since I used to always cook dinner nightly. Having these freezer meals in my freezer that I prepared for my fiance to dump in our crock pot has been so awesome! I am able to use the local meat and veggies I get every 2 weeks at the winter farmer’s market. Thank you!

    I was also wondering if you might be able to give some tips during the Webinar for how to transfer the frozen “brick” more easily. I have been having a bit of difficulty getting the lid on my crock pot when I put the frozen meal in it!

    I just bought your cookbook and the pictures look like you leave the peel on the sweet potatoes and beets?
    Is this true and if so what other vegis do you leave the peel on?

      Yup! I don’t peel those veggies. Carrots I usually peel, because I will often buy the baby carrots and just dump them in that size and don’t even chop them. The skin has lots of good fiber and nutrients!

    Do most of the slow cooker recipes contain meat? I am looking for some slow cooker recipes that are vegetarian and “real food” friendly.

      Yes, most do. I do have a couple of vegetarian recipes but on the whole they are protein heavy, I am a big fan of Weston A Price and Paleo food philosophy.

    My first attempt at freezer slow cooker meals was the Curry Chicken. I thought it would be like a casserole, but it turned out like a soup. Way more juice than even what I figured that there would be if this ended up like a stew. My veggies were pretty mushy and the chicken pieces were so DRY. I don’t know why. With all of that juice, you’d think they’d have plenty of moisture. I bought good quality organic chicken. I was not impressed with this recipe at all. I will give another recipe a try, but I’m dissapointed in the money wasted and the time to chop it all up. I ran hot water over the two gallon baggies in order to get the contents out of the bags and into the slow cooker. Hopefully my next attempt will turn out better.

      I did put the chicken stock in the bags when I froze them. Good thing I didn’t add any more to the slow cooker as it stated in the recipe that I might want to do. If you have any recommendations I’m open.

        Liquid amounts are approximate and up to you. Some people like to make my recipes more into a stew and some like more of a soup. Just cut back or add more according to your likes and tastes.

      Hmm, I don’t ever run hot water over the bags to get them out, so maybe that cooked the chicken a bit and that is what made them dry? Also, you might want to try reducing your cook time, chicken does dry out faster than red meat and each slow cooker is different, which is why I say my cook times are approximate. Maybe give the instruction chapters in the beginning another look over before you do your next meal. There is a bit of a learning curve, but you will master it soon, promise!
