I had such a great time talking with Greg Seaman, the founder of EarthEasy.com, for this podcast. Greg’s story is super interesting: He and his family lived completely off the grid for 30 years on the San Juan Islands (a place I have been, a truly magical place where you can kayak among orca whales). He and his wife homeschooled their kids while living on a small rural island and running a business, which is hard for me to wrap my mind around! It is really inspiring to talk to a man, a father, so dedicated to building strong, healthy bonds with his family, and someone who is so respectful of the world’s resources. I loved talking with him, and think you will love to listen to this interview, too.
This talk is a perfect way to honor Earth Day, and is a great reminder to reconnect with the earth’s energy and to reconnect with our families. Think about the real reason we are here on earth in the first place, which is to have strong, authentic relationships, not to endlessly consume and speed through life.
To celebrate Earth Day, Greg has graciously offered the readers of MamaAndBabyLove.com a discount on ANYTHING! Use code EARTH10 at check out. The code is good till April 22nd. I recommend their yard and garden section, so you can finally start that garden you have been thinking about for years, or get back to into gardening if you have tried in the past. I am still loving the garden containers that I got from EarthEasy.com
And to help you get that garden started, I am offering my gardening cookbook for half off! Use code SPRING2014. Click here to buy a copy.
And one last great Earth Day deal for ya! One of my other favorite companies, Obasan, who makes the awesome organic mattresses that our family sleep on, are offering a 20% discount on their kids Fundy Mattress till April 22nd. Use code mamaearth2014 at checkout.
Audio podcasts posts are still new to me. I threw in the towel with doing an official iTunes podcast, it was way over my head technically to set it up. So, instead there are two ways to listen to the interview: you can listen within this blog post, or if you prefer YouTube, it is over there in video/slideshow format as well. I have lots more interviews and videos to come, so subscribe to my email newsletter YouTube channel and I promise you will not miss a thing!
I hope you enjoy Greg’s talk and have a happy, healthy, and earthy Earth Day!
